Fly fishing problem

If you’re like me, you probably come back from your fly fishing outtings with tangled messes of monofilament, sometimes stuffed in the pockets of your vest, pockets of your pants, or pockets of your gear bag. I’ve tried a few different solutions to this problem but none have worked all that well at containing the stuff. Of course, the worse thing you can do is discard mono into the water or throw it away on the ground and not properly dispose of it in the garbage. The stuff lasts for years and as well as being an eyesore to those that will follow after you and fly fish the same area, it is dangerous and toxic to wildlife.
