The hiking season is upon us again and over the next few weeks and months literally thousands of novice hikers will be stepping out onto the trail for the first time. Most will have a great time but a significant number will come home with aches and pains in places they did not even know they had. Unfortunately, for a few people, this will mean that their first hike was also their last and this would be a great shame. Any sort of physical activity that you are not used to is bound to take its toll and the secret is simply to get yourself in shape slowly before you head out for the first time. So, before you slip on those hiking boots take some time to do a few simple exercises for hiking.
