Visit the Spectacular Grand Canyon Mohave Point

Mohave Point offers spectacular scenery of Grand Canyon features, the Colorado River and magnificent sunsets. A visitor can see the Abyss, the grey colored Dana Butte as well as the 5000 foot high Cheops Pyramid located behind the butte. The white water rapids close to the end part of Monument Creek, called Granite and Boucher Rapids, are also very visible from Mohave Point. Another fascinating red sandstone rock formation, with edges that are sharp and ragged and can be seen from this point, is the Alligator. Pima Point is another observation point which can be reached if you travel westward from Grand Canyon Mohave Point. As far as the North Rim is concerned, it is on the Utah side of the canyon. It is not as popular as a vacation destination as the South Rim as it is closed during winter.
