Every organization needs something to identify their members.  Idenfication cards are used to meet that requirement.  They are simple but functional.  Photo Identification Cards are one example.  By putting a photo on the id, they are easily identified if they are really the owner.  Even other credit card brand placed a photo on their cards for the same purpose, to lessen fraud.  Other’s combine it with other security features like magnetic stripe, radio frequency and other technology which make it more functional and secure.  Which should always be the case for id’s, they should be for security.  Because some people with bad intentions may just enter the premises in the absence of a security measure.  And a simple id may hinder that incedent from happening…
