Mormons, Christianity and Jesus
I dislike it when people refer to us as a “mormon cult“. I think it actually weakens their position because they think in order to make their claims more valid, they have to knock ours down. Even though we don’t pretend to be the same as other Christian religions, it seems the label “mormon cult” is a desperate attempt to deny our Christianity. Try to explain we are Christian and we’re told we believe in a “different Jesus”. I think we have plenty of differences to disagree on without using such loaded terms. For one, our belief in continued revelation.
