Hotels in Cyprus can have up to 5 stars; however 1 or 2 star hotels in Cyprus are very rare. The rates of officially registered hotels are approved by the Cyprus Tourism Organization. Most hotels in Cyprus offer special rates during low season which is the period between half of November until the 15th of March, except the 2 weeks around Christmas, New Year and Epiphany.
