Everyone knows that electricity can kill and that employers and business owners need to be vigilant and rigorous in maintaining electrical safety standards within the workplace.  But did you know that that  in the UK alone over 1000 incidents involving electric shock or burns at work are reported to Health & Safety each and every year?

This is a lot of accidents and most workplaces will generally see an incident on a regular basis unless they ensure their portable appliances are regularly tested.  This procedure is known as pat testing and needs to be carried out by specialist companies who employ trained engineers.  The period between tests will vary depending on the business conducted within the building.
