wedding ring had a very significant place in early days but over a period of time it has lost its value and status. Men and women would feel pride in wearing their wedding ring however with changed thinking this practice is fading away. Many people give job related reasons for not wearing it. Normally people do not wear it for safety reasons. Besides safety there are many people who do not feel comfortable working while wearing their ring. There is yet another category of people who do not want to disclose their marital status and majority of these are from show biz. There are even certain jobs where wearing of rings is highly discouraged like military and police.
