A few years ago, my neighborhood was having a problem with some kids getting into people’s mailboxes and causing trouble. Everything from stealing mail to leaving things in the mailboxes made the whole ordeal quite a nuisance. I decided to take my mailbox out of the equation by getting a lockable mailbox. It was easy to find and order online and I installed it myself. That’s all it took to keep the kids from messing with my mail and it also protects me from others who would steal my mail for more sinister purposes and identity thieves. Several other people in my neighborhood have followed my example.
