Choosing a dog breed can be a challenge but one thing you really should consider is how much grooming your particular breed will need.  Some breeds require very litte care while others will need a bigger commitment when it comes to grooming. Long haired breeds need brushing every day; short haired breeds once or twice a week, depending on the extent they shed. While you are grooming, check the skin for any redness or rashes, feel over the dog’s body for any lumps or unusual conditions. Early detection of health problems can make a big difference to treatment and recovery. Consult your vet if there are any irregularities.
