I own one of those warmer plates that you put candles on in order to avoid using an open flame.  I love it because I am one who typically forgets that my candles are burning and then I leave the house.  When I return, the house smells lovely, but I panic about what could have happened while I was gone if a spark had left the wick and landed on something flamable.  I also have two cats, one of which, is a major climber.  It would only take one awkward step for her to knock it over and cause a fire.  The candle warmer lamps give me piece of mind.  I can still enjoy my candles without worrying about burning down the house.
