Pregnancy Sciatica
When I was six months pregnant with my son, I walked into my daughter’s room one day to put her clothes away. All of a sudden I was struck by this horrible pain that shot down my leg. I laid down on the floor right there and prayed. Scared does not even begin to describe what I was feeling. After a few minutes the pain went away and I was able to get up. I immediately called my obstetrician for an appointment and spoke to a nurse. She set me up for an appointment the next day but said not to worry as it was most likely pregnancy sciatica. Sure enough she was right. I saw the doctor the next day and he explained the condition to me and assured me it would most likely go away when the baby was born. I haven’t experienced it since.
