When I was being walked to the operating room by the guy who would be administering my pain medication through my back, he mentioned that if I had a chronic headache after the surgery was over, they may have to do the procedure all over again. I was going into the operating room to get laser back surgery. After having a baby by c-section I was somewhat prepared for the pain of having back surgery. With a c-section they have to give a large dose of pain medication through a needle in your spine. Luckily, the back surgery with the new procedures done by laser was not at all as painful as the c-section.
