My father always told me that I was above the curve. But I was never above the curve when it came to insurance coverage, then I watched a good friend lose their life in a car accident. It was horrible her parents paid for everything out of their retirement funds. I knew they did not have that much longer to retirement and that really hurt them bad. I decided to enroll in the add insurance at work. I did not want my parents who were already living off their retirement income to have to make those types of sacrifices to put me in the ground.
