Managing Diabetes
A lot of sweet food piled up in my body and now I’ve acquired diabetes. Handling my blood sugar levels was difficult because of my love for ice cream, donuts, cake – you name it! I was treating myself badly with out-of-control food binges, gaining more weight than usual and dealing with the consequences of it. It was definitely no way to go until I found out about some paleo recipes. These helped me through my diabetes by prescribing me a controllable diet full of healthier carbs, more fruits, vegetables and protein and avoiding unhealthy carbs in grains, potatoes and beans. I also began avoiding sweets too after getting used to the healthier changes in my body. My prepared meals were definitely more savory, flavorful and healthier now that I have started on this regimen.
