Used Cell Phone - Environmental Factor to Consider

Aside from the two major reasons – convenience and practicality – for buying a used cell phone, there is a more pressing factor to consider why you should settle for the pre-owned units. While the first two reasons give emphasis only to your benefit, this other reason is much more globally-based: environmental conservation. Of course, techies aren’t the only ones who are aware that cellular phones, even used cell phone units, are made up of various toxic chemicals that include lead and mercury. Once disposed off, these harmful chemicals in your cell phone unit (once they’ll leak out unto the ground) will eventually enter our water system over time. In effect, the water table will be poisoned – something that all of use wouldn’t want to experience in the future, right? But, an even sadder fact to ponder on is that many, if not most of these discarded cell phones, are far from being useless – virtually creating garbage from our money.
