You would think it would be obvious to attorneys; but many of them neglect to get legal malpractice insurance. When they do this they do it at their own peril. Studies have shown that attorneys get sued twice as much as other professional categories. Having legal malpractice insurance in my opinion, is a must. One of the factors that malpractice insurance helps with is the ability to outsource a malpractice claim. It can be very debilitating for a law office to work on their own legal case. Attorneys and paralegals are human just like the rest of us. Handling a lawsuit directed squarely on them is too much pressure for a law office.
