Internet Dependence
There is not doubt that more people are hooked on the Internet nowadays. In fact, I know that it is a problem in my own household. My boyfriend and I barely watch television because we’re always taking turns hogging the computer for the latest news, videos and also to check our emails like a million times a day. Don’t know where that store is? Look it up on the Internet. Your grandmother just move? Look up directions on the Internet. Want to know what the latest cds are that are out as well as how they’re holding up on the billboard charts? Look it up on the Internet. Want to see how much that new shirt at the department store costs? Look it up on the Internet. Everything, it seems, is on the Internet. There is nothing you cannot find information about that isn’t already thought up and posted on the Internet. Phone calls costing you a bundle of money? Talk to your friends on the Internet instead with free programs such as AIM, Yahoo and MSN messenger, to name a few.
