All right… I never knew that “no credit” could be as bad as “bad credit”. I went straight from High school into Med school. Bust my bust to become a doctor and came out ready to conquer the world. Got a great job right away and was making really good coin. I decided it was time to celebrate and buy myself a present for all my hard work. Went to BMW and found a really nice “doctor” car. It wasn’t top of the line but had some nice features. I filled out the paperwork to get my loan and take home my baby… but I was declined on my loan application. The loan manager showed me the free credit reports he had pulled on me and there was basically nothing on them. I was never late on a payment but it was because I never had a loan or credit card before. I learned you need to prove your ability to pay with small loans first and build trust in the creditors eyes. Sheeesh, how should I know?
