Autoresponder programs function in several ways and many leading and reliable websites use any one of those available service. Aside from running in different means, there are also varieties of follow-up autoresponders that can be classified into two categories: the outsourced ASP model and the Server-side. Outsourced ASP model autoresponders are the ones that run on the provider’s infrastructure and are usually configurable through a web-based control panel. The customer pays a monthly usage fee and a good thing is that this kind of autoresponder is easiest to implement for the end-user. Examples of outsourced or hosted autoresponders include TrafficWave.net, GetResponse, and Aweber. The next category is the Server-side autoresponders – those that enable users to install the auto responder system on their own server, although this type might require technical skills. AutoResponse Plus and List Mail Pro are samples of this kind of autoresponder.
